ICLIU
The LIU Integrated Circuits Laboratory (ICLIU Lab) at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides a specialized environment for the design, simulation, and verification of integrated circuits (ICs). The laboratory is built around a dedicated server hosting industry-standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, primarily from Cadence Design Systems.
ICLIU supports a wide range of IC design activities, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, from schematic development and simulation to layout and design verification. The facility is used extensively in research projects, senior design projects, capstone projects, master’s theses, and co-supervised PhD theses, enabling students and researchers to gain hands-on experience with professional IC design methodologies used in the semiconductor industry.
Through the use of advanced EDA tools and collaborative computing resources, the laboratory enables users to perform circuit simulation, layout design, parasitic extraction, and post-layout verification, providing a complete environment for modern integrated circuit development.
The ICLIU laboratory plays an important role in supporting education, research, and innovation in microelectronics and integrated circuit design within the department.
